This approval has the goal of lowering the weight of helmets being used for junior racers whose neck muscles are not sufficiently strong enough to support the higher weights of adult helmets. By working closely with the FIA and Snell foundation Arai has not only developed the CK-6 but has also been able to introduce its first ever extra extra small (XXS) size. The design of the Arai CK-6 junior kart helmet incorporates many of the features seen on the professional motorsport range and includes a unique 4 point inlet/outlet venting system with a dual chin vent, a washable coolmax material inner lining and a lightweight 2mm visor with tear off posts and the new advanced visor pivot system seen on the GP series.
